No way to set the board like i use to do. It doesn't work and hyperboard doesn't seem to want to fix it.

I cant start a thread like i use to..

Anyway ..we had a game tonight. We played hard again and Howard was the Howard we use to know...bad. Blashill was bad again as usual, that 4th goal with about 2 min to play, why Sheahan had to be on the ice ?

Again he was totally useless on the ice.

Can someone kick larks in the butt ?

That things like this that makes me nuts. The only reason why we look decent on the way to the end of this season is PRIDE !! Not Blashill ..nooo. PRIDE ! Yes the vets played hard, they played for themselves, not for Blashill. You see Green skating all over the place like he never did before..whY suddenly looking so good ? because he now doesnt play for the guy behind the bench, he plays FOR HIMSELF ! and to have fun.

Same for Kroner who scored a beautiful goal late, something he would not have done earlier. this season.

Its almost over guys...over.

it was intense and fast tonight.

What worries me is that the kids disappear when it's fast and furious like this. AA, Larks were not a factor tonight, Z was a monster, with Tats and NY again our best line. SHeahan was killing the second line. We didnt see much of the third more the fourth.

Again Blashill coached to win like its the Stanley cup final.

I'm telling you if this coach is still coaching the Wings next year i'll become a Yotes fan !!!

Ok, Pierre! This is taking its toll on you and all of us but I trust that it's your frustration talking.

I share your sense of despair but hold on to the knowledge that Blashill is good for one more year, max! If he coaches again next season, we may as well tune out and consider it a lost season.

In June 2018, the Wings could be sitting on the #1 draft pick though so not all is lost...... but it will be another winter of discontent.

the way this team handles Sheahan it tells me they will protect him next june..

and i was planning on going to D for the last week-end...two home games in a single week-end. Tx prices for the last game april 8th are hilarious. from 250 dollars to 500 dollars !!

Too bad. A would have love to say good bye to the Joe for the last time..

You could be right about the first round pick next year.
The Wings young players were not nearly as good as the Leafs young players (note- Matthews is a real find)
Wings were 8-0 in shootouts this year. That trend won't continue next year.
Zee is another year older (solid player but somebody has to take over as the main guy)
Ted Lindsay says it best : "need to get some good players".

Detroit has some good players but too many average or below average players. Need to bring in some youth and while building up this team get some grit to protect the next generation of young talent.
I've said it before on this board: next year's draft is going to be huge. Wings need to have their scouts working overtime.

The general consensus is that the coach has to be fired and its not just us Wings fans either. I really fear Kenny Complacency won't put blame on Blashill and think it was just injuries and that its a great business deal as he's much cheaper than Mike Babcock.

When you look ta our roster there is not reason why we're not in the playoffs even if you fly the injury flag we just failed from the top down.

Injuries do not make your team prepared for battle each night but coaching does.

Injuries don't make you power play 28 of 30 but poor coaching and strategy does.

Injuries don't make you team fall a sleep in the closing 2 minutes of periods but poor coaching does.

Injuries don't cause numerous players regressing in progress of previous season but coaching and bad personnel management does.

Sometimes an NHL caliber coach can make a group of AHL'ers NHL players.

Sometimes an AHL caliber coach can make a group of NHL'ers the best fuckin AHL team playing in the NHL that is last in division, 15 of 16 in the conference and 26 of 30.

Any GM who starts another season with the same coach who produced results of Jeff Blashill and staff should no longer be a GM. If he does then once the novelty of the new Pizza Rink wears off by November/D3ecember then Illitch Holdings will need to start giving cars away to get people to watch a shitty product on ice just like 1980's.....I'm not ready for Dead Things version 2.0

You nailed it, Shawn. I fear though that we are indeed going to have to endure another "winter of discontent".

I can't see any of the newer posts. Test message to see if I can restore that. Edit - well that did it - now I can see everything.
