I am concerned with Blashill influence on Larkin. And I do not know who to blame here, Blashill or Larkin or both, but last year I saw a future franchise player in Larkin, a hard working kid who ENJOYS playing the game of hockey. I saw him being our captain in 3-4 years. And I saw a player who uses his speed to create scoring chances almost every shift and a player with a great wrist shot.
This year, I see a player who is frustrated, whining and half of the time looks absolutely disoriented on the ice as if he is asked to play against his instincts as opposed to his strengths. I see a player who does not enjoy playing, but just wants to satisfy his coach and play like Glendening.

I sense the frustrations as well. He's not having fun but losing will also cause that, Part of it is he is now known around the league so they know not to give him time and space but I tend to think it has more to do with the coach and how he uses him.

Fire the coach, let 72-71-39 be the top line next season and I bet he gets 25 goals next season.

There's no question that Larkin is frustrated but it's more than that. He is playing as though he has no hockey IQ way too often but is that due to a directive to do things that don't make any sense to him? Is that his way of saying to Blashill, "F...., you!"

And Pierre made a good point! Their attack lacks any semblance of structure and this from players who know better and have played much more cohesively in past seasons. If Larkin is not buying into whatever Blashill is preaching, it's a huge problem and most of the team is right there with him.

The lack of structure suggests a lack of attention to detail and fundamentals, a coaching issue that will create a lot of resentment and loss of respect within the players.

No just someone who has eyes. No debate he lost that fight. In fact he got his i king ass kicked. But he also broke his finger, was fighting somebody who couldn't even sniff his jock and his only job is to fight, and he clearly held his own or beat the shit out of everyone else he fought. So are you just stupid or did he fuck your mother or something?

If the Bolts didnt have a visor the fight would have last one punch, the one that broke Mantha's finger. Have you seen that visor popped off the Bolts head ?

To me Mantha didnt lose...the visor won !

TB player should have a gotten a 10 minute misconduct breaking Manthas finger...for intend to injure Smiley I think if players want to fight they should take off the helmets when they drop the gloves. It was hard enough guys breaking hands on helmets before visors but now what is the point of fighting when almost everyone has a visor? You really only have a small target from the nose to the neck to try to hit and everything else is hard as concrete and hurts the guy punching it.

New NHL rule. Additional 2:00 Penalty for fighting with visor. 5:00 + a game misconduct if a guy breaks hurts himself on your lid and space shield Smiley

Got a game tonight at 7:00pm EDT Smiley

Funny, end of the season that's been over since January but I still get stoked about Detroit playing an Original 6 team and especially Toronto and Montreal.
